Healthy living through better eating.
To calculate your BMI, multiply
your weight in pounds by 703. Divide that number
by your height in inches. Now, divided that answer
again by your height in inches. That’s your
body mass index. If your BMI is 18.5 to 24.9, you’re
in the healthy range, 25 to 29 is considered overweight,
30 to 34 is obese and over 35 is extreme obesity.
The higher you BMI, the higher you risk for diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer’s,
diabetes. It also can produce joint, skeletal issues and many more.
To improve your BMI you must remember, "energy intake (calories), energy
output (burn calories)". Reduce your energy intake and add or increase your
energy output to improve your BMI.
*Always consult your doctor prior making any changes to your diet and exercise
plan.
